Some customers may experience a delay when trying to create a new email address, or alias, for their Outlook.com account. While these Microsoft accounts work in other Microsoft products (e.g. OneDrive, Windows, Xbox), they are non-functional when visiting Outlook.com. Outlook.com (the web version of Outlook) and Outlook apps require a 1st party alias (Outlook/Hotmail/Live/MSN) to send and receive email, use calendar, etc. Problems with the device, connection to power, network issues, viruses or malware, oversized files, and improper shutdowns all cause the PST file to act up.
